[City Lives] What is the biggest animal in the world? It’s the “city.” The world’s largest creature, called “Cities,” which mimics the city by reading human memories. Shori Sato (as himself) and Kentaro Mizutani (Takeshi Itakura), the cameraman for the program’s making-of segment, were told that they were going to be filming an animal program and were waiting in a car, but they were swallowed up by the “city” and trapped inside. In order to feature the mysterious ecology of the “city”, they begin to closely cover the only living person in the city, Tsuji Misaki (Yuki Katayama) who is a conservation officer for the Urban-type Organism Conservation Organization (commonly known as the Toseiho). As they continue to report on the strange phenomena occurring in the “city”, such as groups of buildings moving through the wilderness and “pseudo-residents” who look just like real people, who are actually part of the buildings that have grown up around them, they try to find out why the city has trapped Sato and the others
