“I’ll never fall in love.”
High school student Naotatsu (Riku Ohnishi) is staying at his uncle Shigemichi’s (Kengo Kora) house to commute to school. However, in the pouring rain a stranger, Ms. Sakaki (Suzu Hirose), comes to pick him up at the train station. He is taken to a shared house where he is unexpectedly met by Sakaki, a 26-year-old office worker who is always grumpy but serves delicious meals on a whim; his uncle Shigemichi (aka. Nigemichi), a manga artist who quit his job without telling his parents; Hayate (Junki Tozuka), a cross-dressing fortune teller; Naruse (Katsuhisa Namase), a university professor who travels abroad; The five men and women, each with their own unique personalities, are joined by Kaede (Ami Touma), a classmate of Naotatsu’s and Hayate’s younger sister, who starts visiting the shared house after finding a cat named Mr. Moonlight. And so the unexpected communal life begins. Naotatsu starts to have faint feelings for Ms. Sakaki, who indifferently spends her days, but for some reason, she declares that she ” won’t do love” and there is an unexpected history between them…
