Mamoru Uehara cannot tell his mother Satomi that he would rather be a comedian than attend the University of Tokyo. Torako suggests using the 200,000 yen course fee to enroll in a comedy school instead of taking the entrance exam because it is the right investment for Mamoru. However, Mamoru lacks confidence and is unable to enroll. Torako then suggests that he use the 200,000 yen to put on a fake comedy show and convince Satomi by showing her the audience laughing.
